Reproductive Child Health Programs:

The broad objective of the project is to promote the RCH program and provide health and medical care to the needy especially women and children and to empower women of the weaker sections with special focus on antenatal and postnatal care and promotion of institutional deliveries. Under the RCH project the following main activities are carried out:

Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities to spread awareness about general health care of pregnant women and children.

Mobilizing adolescent boys and girls and educate them on important issues such as importance of small family norms and prepare them to make informed choices for the future, personal hygiene, menstrual hygiene, anemia etc.

Meetings are held to promote nutritional awareness among pregnant and lactating women and to promote safe motherhood.

Pregnant women are given regular check-ups and high-risk women are Identified and referred to government hospital.

o monitor the weight of Children below 1 year and promote breast-feeding.Identification of patients with Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs), their treatment and follow up.

To ensure the coverage of 95% children below 1 year by immunization. Every Wednesday, Immunization camps are held in the colony and both children and pregnant women are immunized.

Free medical camps are held and free medicines are provided to the patients. Doctors come from the Govt. Dispensary & Govt. Hospitals examine the patients and the Trust staff dispenses the medicines

AIDS Awareness& Child Check up camps.

Promotion of small family norms by distribution of oral pills, condoms, and motivating target couples for permanent methods etc.
